Hello, my name is Jodie Owen, and I am the Family Support Worker at Blue Bell Hill Primary School.

I have had the privilege of working at Blue Bell Hill for 18 years. I also grew up in St. Ann’s and attended school here as a child, which makes serving our community even more meaningful to me. As a mum of two young boys, I understand first-hand the challenges that parenthood can bring. With many life experiences behind me, I am able to genuinely relate to and empathise with the ups and downs that family life can present.

At BBH, we place great value on our relationships with families and the wider community. It’s not just about supporting our pupils — we are here to support the whole family. I offer guidance, advice and signposting to services that can provide additional help where needed. Whether you are facing challenges around sleep, health, finances, behaviour, or difficulties at home, I am here to help.

Sometimes you may simply need someone to listen over a cup of tea — and that’s absolutely fine too. I understand that asking for help can feel daunting, but please know there is no judgement here at BBH. No concern is ever too small. We strongly believe that early support can prevent worries from escalating, and that a caring school community plays a vital role in this.
